Hållbarhet 2009 - A Sustainability Learning Journey & Conference

The Natural Step in Australia is pleased to play host to an inaugural gathering of sustainability practitioners from around the world in Feburary, 2009. 'Hållbarhet’ 2009 (a Swedish word for 'sustainability') is a convergence of emerging sustainability leaders from around the world, with a common background in strategic sustainable development, transformational leadership, systemic innovation and accelerated learning. Representing a formidable international network of passionate sustainability practitioners, they are coming to pool and expand their knowledge and experience of implementing strategic approaches to sustainability in corporations, small business, communities, government and civil society organisations. All individuals coming are working in their own way to the conscious co-creation of a sustainable future.

This is an historic gathering as it brings together alumni of the Master of Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability for the first time, an acclaimed international programme developed in partnership with The Natural Step. An integral philosophy of this gathering is to make new connections and forge new networks hence public events are scheduled to take place in both Sydney (Tuesday 3rd February) and Melbourne (Thursday 12th February) - stay tuned for more details!
