Hållbarhet 2009
In February 2009, an inaugural gathering of emerging sustainability practitioners from around the world took place in Australia. 'Hållbarhet’, a Swedish word for sustainability, brought together alumni from the Master of Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability (MSLS) program, an acclaimed international programme grounded in The Natural Step Framework with a rigorous, whole systems view and a foundation in science.
Twenty-six alumni gathered in Australia for a ten day learning journey to pool and expand their knowledge and experience of implementing strategic approaches to sustainability in corporations, small business, communities, government and civil society organisations. Regional gatherings occurred simultaneously in Ottawa, Boston, Vancouver, London and Karlskrona. At one point, nearly 100 alumni were connected from all locations for a webinar and online discussion. You can read blog postings about the gatherings from Australia, Ottawa and Vancouver by clicking here. TNS Advisory Intern Alaya Boisvert has also recorded her reflections and lessons learned from the Australia gathering; they are available here.
