Dr. Karl-Henrik Robèrt, the Founder of The Natural Step and a member of Interface's Eco Dream Team, is visiting Canada in October and will participate in A Fireside Chat: Healthy Planet, Healthy Business - A "Natural Step" in the right direction. During this Q&A-style event, Dr. Robèrt will explore where businesses need to go relative to the long-term health of humanity and the ecosphere. And he will answer the question: "How does cancer treatment inspire sustainable pathways in organizations around the world?"

We’ll settle in comfortably and talk with him about his personal experiences and thoughts on achieving sustainability in an increasingly complex and turbulent world. It’ll be informal, fun and thought provoking.

Hosted by InterfaceFLOR, a close partner of The Natural Step, this exclusive by-invitation-only event will take place on October 20 from 11:30am-1:30pm at InterfaceFLOR's Toronto Showroom (543 Richmond Street West, Suite 101). Lunch will be served.

For questions and to request an invitation, please contact Pamela Mason at pamela.mason@interfaceflor.ca.

About InterfaceFLOR

InterfaceFLOR has always been about the future. When Ray Anderson staked his career on the idea of modular carpet tile in the ’70s, it was a square idea in a broadloom world but even he didn’t realize how dramatically we would shape the future of the industry.

Over the years we’ve evolved our approach to design and developed innovative manufacturing processes to reduce waste and eliminate toxins from our products and facilities. And we’ve pioneered new ways to reuse valuable resources. We see the infinite design possibilities of carpet tile and they’re inherently tied to our Mission Zero™ promise – to completely eliminate any negative impact we may have on the environment by 2020. About Interface's Eco Dream Team

At Interface, we rely upon the regular input of the environmental thinkers, engineers and architects who comprise our Eco Dream Team. When Interface began its sustainability journey in 1994, sustainability was not as commonly understood as it is today. As a first step, we needed to define and understand sustainability and what it meant to us. We explored the principles underpinning sustainability, seeking to gain perspective and, above all else, to learn. This early leg of our journey brought us to authors, activists, scientists, entrepreneurs and other thought leaders whose progressive thinking would help us map our journey.

Those whose thinking, innovation and inspiration we sought eventually came to be our “Eco Dream Team.” Today, the team comprises 12 visionaries of a sustainable future who support us as valued advisors on our journey to sustainability. (Read more...)
