KELLY HAWKE BAXTER AT THE TORONTO SUSTAINABILITY SPEAKER SERIES

Corporate Social Responsibility Won’t Save the Planet: Why we need to move boldly toward a vision of true sustainability instead of simply doing less bad (Toronto, ON | October 3)
There is a new consciousness emerging that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is dead. It’s not enough to be adding environmental and social priorities to a business-as-usual agenda. It’s not enough to be doing less bad by being more eco-efficient, but still headed in an unsustainable direction. It’s time to raise the bar for companies claiming to be sustainable. We need to define what we’re moving toward as a new standard of success and measure our progress toward that standard.
Join Kelly Hawke Baxter, the Executive Director of The Natural Step Canada, as she explores the following themes:
- Why we need to shift the sustainability conversation to what we’re working toward, not what we’re moving away from
- Why your company’s goal should be full sustainability, not best in show, best in sector, or the best of a bad lot
- Why your company’s sustainability plan has to touch the core of your business, including your products, services, operations, suppliers, and clients
- How a clear vision creates a strong, synergistic culture and leads to innovative thinking among your employees
Space is limited and will sell out fast. Register today! (Read more...)
