INTEGRATED COMMUNITY SUSTAINABILITY PLANNING COURSE

Learn how to embed sustainability throughout your community’s planning, decision-making, and operations (Online sessions and workshops in Vancouver, BC | begins May 25)

This 5-month course is designed around the lessons and experiences of The Natural Step Canada and its partner organizations in community sustainability planning. Via a mixture of online seminars, in-person workshops, and applied project work, it is designed to provide community leaders, and those supporting them, with the practical knowledge, skills, and tools to lead long-term, participatory planning efforts toward sustainability. These are often referred to as an “integrated community sustainability plan” (ICSP).

NEW COURSE: Build your skills as a sustainability practitioner! (Online sessions and workshops in Banff, AB | begins June 22)

The Natural Step Canada’s Sustainability for Leaders Course - Level 2: Practitioners is a NEW advanced program taught by highly experienced and inspirational speakers. This course is aimed at sustainability practitioners who want to build their proficiency in applying The Natural Step Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development to sustainability analysis, planning, and implementation in any context.

The course will include a mix of online learning and an in-person session in stunning Banff, AB. Graduates will be able to design and manage sustainability initiatives in their business, community, or organization.

LESSONS FROM WHISTLER: MUNICIPAL SUSTAINABILITY FROM PLANNING TO IMPLEMENTATION

The Resort Municipality of Whistler, British Columbia developed Canada’s first Sustainable Community Plan and has won national and international recognition for their ‘Whistler 2020’ Plan.
