TNSNZ has established itself as a leader in helping local councils and communities understand and adapt to the challenges of creating a sustainable future.  We work with local councils to help them develop a cohesive and comprehensive approach to sustainability that is based on common understanding and sound strategic planning.

Since communities are complex and diverse systems with multiple stakeholders, there are often many interpretations of sustainability and very different ideas about how best to achieve it. We overcome that challenge by providing a simple yet compelling understanding of sustainability that integrates different council functions.  Our straightforward planning framework helps councils and communities make smart decisions that will move them step-by-step towards a successful and sustainable future.

Working in partnership with local councils, we customise education and training to make the best use of local initiatives and programmes that are already in place.
