Shaun Bowler

Shaun leads the 'Bioenergy in Business' programme for New Zealand's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA). Through EECA, Shaun is also closely involved with a range of other renewable energy and energy efficiency programmes. Since taking charge of the Bioenergy in Business programme Shaun has launched several initiatives including a greater focus on demand-side opportunities, and closer ties with both bioenergy consultants and forest owners.

Shaun worked for 12 years with KPMG Consulting and Statistics New Zealand. He maintains strong links with Scandinavia, taking time in both 2007 and 2009 to learn from leading sustainable development strategies in that country, particularly ecomunicipalities and sustainable energy strategies. Shaun holds an MSc(Hons), 1st Class from the University of Auckland. He is a registered psychologist and serves on the board of the New Zealand Scandinavia Business Association.
