Municipal Workshops in Whistler

The Natural Step and the Whistler Centre for Sustainability will be offering two workshops between the Annual General Meetings of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM)  in Whistler. These workshops will offered on June 4th. See full schedule for correct dates and times.

Sustainable Community Planning (9am-12pm): This half day workshop will provide participants with a flexible, step wise approach to building internal capacity, conducting an internal sustainability analysis, engaging the public through community visioning, and carrying out and completing a municipal sustainability plan.  This workshop will be co-facilitated with  Whistler Centre for Sustainability.

Sustainability, Governance and Organizational Change (1-5pm): This half day workshop will explore the vital role of governance and organizational change for successful sustainability efforts. It will help participants identify and explore the key challenges municipal governments face when trying to integrate sustainability into their governance and decision making systems.
