This intensive 2 day practical training course is designed to build understanding about what sustainability really means for your organisation and why a strategic response is imperative to avoid wasting time and money. Using practical, hands-on exercises, you will learn how to develop a strategic approach to sustainability that is tailored to your organisational needs.
The course will be run by accredited Natural Step advisors in collaboration with Otago Polytechnic, our training partner, and is supported by the Sustainable Business Network.

Course objectives
- Understand how the Natural Step framework provides a definition of sustainability based on sound science and systems thinking that enables organisations to develop a coherent and strategic approach to implement sustainable practice
- Demonstrate how to reduce costs, improve performance and increase profitability by using a strategic framework for designing and planning the implementation of sustainable practices
- Learn how to identify, prioritise and implement initiatives and investments that are aligned with a long-term plan for sustainability
