TNS NZ team grows with three new accredited advisors
The TNS NZ advisor network has grown to 11 accredited members with the addition of Mardi Neumann, Jan Harrison and Ella Lawton. These three earned their wings with the successful completion of their assessed live assignments.
Ella has been working on a PhD project about how to measure the size of a community's ecological footprint and implement change. The project attracted research funding and has been accepted into the Real Change programme. Ella’s been working with four local communities in New Zealand as case studies and completed her final advisor assessment as part of this work.
Jan has been working with Rhys Harrison on a project with Christchurch City Council. TNS NZ has been re-engaged by the council after some initial work many years ago. Rhys and Jan have been working with the strategy and policy team but things have been delayed slightly with the impacts of the recent earthquake.
Mardi is also based in Christchurch and this year led the 2 day TNS NZ training course in Christchurch, working with Steve Henry. This was one of three successful courses run in the second half of 2010. Mardi is also the Chair of the TNS NZ operational board and worked on secondment with Forum for the Future a few years ago.
There are a number of advisors that are currently looking for live assignments to complete their training and TNS NZ Executive Director, Simon Harvey, believes that the network of accredited advisors could be up to 15 by the end of 2011.
