Dr. Lin Roberts
Lin is a Senior Advisor with TNS NZ and has been involved with the organization since its inception, serving variously as Board member, Chair, CEO, Pathfinder Programme Manager and NZ representative on the international board. Since founding Business and Environment Consultants fifteen years ago, a consultancy with a focus on promoting sustainability, she has worked with a wide range of organizations – large, small and rural businesses, local, regional and central government and NGOs - helping them integrate sustainability into their core strategies.
Lin teaches an MBA course "Sustainable Enterprises – Creating the Future" at the University of Canterbury where she is an Adjunct Senior Fellow. She is also an honorary lecturer at Lincoln University, and served as a member of the Environmental Risk Management Authority 2002-2004. Previous activities includes membership of an international Expert Panel on Trade and Sustainable Development; a Claude McCarthy Fellowship at Victoria University; and employment as Manager of Hazards & Waste Policy Directorate at the Ministry for the Environment in Wellington, and as a scientist at DSIR Entomology Division.
