Dr. Maggie Lawton

Maggie is Manager of Strategy and Policy at Manukau City Council.  Originally a practicing scientist and researcher, Maggie was a member of the Executive Team at Landcare Research for 14 years until September 2006. She then ran her own business, Braidwood Research and Consulting Ltd. Maggie has a background in a wide range of rural and urban development issues, climate change and policy related to sustainable development.  Maggie has used The Natural Step as a community engagement tool as part of Manuakau City's Towards 2060 project.
