The Natural Step Academy

In 2008, The Natural Step launched The Natural Step Academy to, “create the means for individual and collective learning to accelerate progress towards sustainability”. The Academy builds upon TNS New Zealand’s Associates learning programs as well as over 20 years of collective experience across The Natural Step network in coaching leaders to progress strategically toward sustainability.

The Academy courses present an opportunity to increase collaboration amongst licensees and to raise the bar on existing internal learning programs and competencies. It also provides the means for new associates and emerging TNS networks to gain the knowledge and skills needed to get started successfully.  Finally, the development of new courses meets the growing demand for professional development using The Natural Step Framework. “Sustainability for Leaders,” the first course in the series for TNS Academy is being presented in Portland, Oregon from March 29-April 1.  Additional courses include a Stockholm series on June 4th/5th and October 15th/16th.  Further courses will be announced through our website.

In the past three months, collaboration amongst The Natural Step Canada, The Natural Step International and The Natural Step US has resulted in four Academy pilot projects in the Netherlands and the US.
