Lena Johansson

Lena is the Chief Executive for The Natural Step International where she provides leadership and direction for the organisation.
 

Lena has a long history in the field of Sustainable Development. In an advisory role she has worked with many different organisations, including Nike and Rohm and Hass, to develop and implement sustainability strategies and to facilitate processes to create awareness, knowledge and understanding of long term change by engaging with stakeholders. She has worked with senior managers and operational teams in a variety of industries, including food & agriculture, clothing, financial services, construction, energy and chemistry.
 

Lena joined The Natural Step in 2001, before that she worked as a sustainability advisor for several organisations with clients both in the private and public sector. Lena holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stockholm University School of Business with a focus on sustainability in the business sector. She is a lecturer at the Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability Masters Program at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden, and was a contributing author for the course text book.
