Hans Dahlberg
Hans Dahlberg has been associated with The Natural Step since the organization's inception in 1988. At that time, Hans was Managing Director of The Folksam Insurance Group in Sweden, a cooperative and mutual insurer known for its progressive and cutting-edge CSR programs and activities. Hans assisted Dr. Karl-Henrik Robèrt to finance his first national campaign in 1989, which led to The Natural Step's formation.
As chairman of the Arlanda Group and The Natural Step Foundation, Hans assisted in creating The Natural Step Institute. The Foundation and the Institute were later merged and Karl-Henrik agreed to take over the chairmanship.
Hans served as Managing Director of The Folksam Group and of AMF, a labour market sickness insurance program. He has also served as Chief Executive of the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation Manchester, UK, a global organization he was asked to re-engineer.
In the 1970s, Hans managed various cooperative insurance development programs in Asia, Africa and Latin America after gaining valuable experience working with a newly set-up cooperative development program in New Delhi, India in the 1960s.
