It is an intensive 2-day practical course designed to build understanding of how to transform your organization’s approach to sustainability in order to achieve strategic advantages and long-term leadership in your industry and/or community. Participants of this course will gain the knowledge and skills to understand, apply and communicate a compelling science based systems approach to sustainability, based on The Natural Step Framework. A public seminar on BECCS technology
BECCS stands for Bio Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage. It is an emerging technology that has the potential to go beyond traditional climate change mitigation, and instead actually achieve negative emissions, i.e. net removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The global potential for BECCS is estimated at billions of tons of carbon dioxide annually, with interesting opportunities in countries with large forestry and agricultural sectors, including sub-Saharan Africa.
