SSD in Estonia at Tallinn Technical University

Every spring, the Tallinn Technical University hosts a 5-day masters level course for decision-makers in companies called “Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability.”  The course takes a science-based, systems approach to sustainability, based on the Natural Step Framework.

“The course has really grown in popularity over the past years. Students have found the curriculum to be both relevant and useful” said Harri Moora, PHD, Environmental Management Programme Director at Tallinn Technical University. “They have also appreciated the innovative learning approach which combines lectures with opportunities for hands-on application, case studies, site visits and peer dialogue.”

The course was developed in partnership between the Natural Step International, SEI-Tallinn (Estonia) and KOVET(Hungary), through the EU funded Leonardo Da Vinci project, “Training for the Future - Sustainability Vocational Training for Decision Makers and Managers“  This school year (2009-2010), marks the 5th year of the course’s inception.
