Vancouver's Greenest City 2020 Action Plan, with Lindsay Cole (Sustainability Dialogue)

The Natural Step Canada Exchange's April instalment of the Sustainability Dialogue Series features guest speaker Lindsay Cole from the City of Vancouver.

The City of Vancouver has set an ambitious goal for itself - to become the greenest city in the world by 2020. It is a friendly competition about serious issues, and aims to inspire Vancouver citizens, as well as citizens from other cities around the world, to set ambitious environmental targets for ourselves and be accountable to how well we are doing.

In this discussion, Lindsay Cole, Vancouver's Greenest City Planner, will present highlights from the draft Greenest City 2020 Action Plan. She will discuss some of the innovative public engagement strategies used to gather feedback on the plan as well as inspire diverse community members to work together in achieving this greenest city vision.

During this dialogue you will:

Speaker Biography

Lindsay Cole is the Greenest City Planner for the City of Vancouver where she is responsible for stewarding the staff and community processes leading up the Greenest City plan expected to go to Vancouver City Council in June 2011. Prior to this role, she worked for Sustainability Solutions Group, an innovative workers cooperative consultancy that works on green building, sustainable community, climate and energy, and organizational change.
