Rachelle McElroy

Rachelle is the Principle of greenBIZstrategies and a Natural Step Canada Associate. She is an entrepreneur with a passion for sustainable development — meeting the needs of today without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. greenBIZstrategies was founded with the goal of assisting those that are taking on this challenge, to help guide them and their players, strategically on the path towards sustainability, with a good return on their investment.

Prior to launching greenBIZstrategies and for a period of three years, Rachelle was the Environmental Coordinator at Royal Roads University (RRU). Her work there, in addition to her participation in the Leadership Victoria, Community Leadership program is what led her to completing her graduate work in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability at the Blekinge Institute in Sweden, firmly based on Then Natural Step Framework. The discovery of a more meaningful, inclusive and creative approach to tackling sustainability is was motivated her to learn about TNS and then become a Natural Step practitioner.

Her wish for the future is that individuals, businesses, institutions and non-for profits act in a way that creates the community they want to live in and use the Natural Step Framework to guide their journey.
