Come and learn how The Natural Step Canada helps municipal governments integrate sustainability into their plans and day-to-day decision making. The Resort Municipality of Whistler, British Columbia developed Canada’s first Sustainable Community Plan and has won national and international recognition for their ‘Whistler 2020’ Plan.

• Hear from Ken Melamed, Mayor of the Resort Municipality of Whistler, to learn more about Whistler’s sustainability journey
• Meet John Purkis, Senior Manager of The Natural Step Canada’s Sustainable Communities Program, to learn more about municipal sustainability planning in Quebec and across Canada
• Meet and mingle with others working towards sustainability in the municipal sector
