Magdalena Szpala

Working as a Sustainability Analyst at British Columbia’s provincial social housing agency – BC Housing, Magda leads the process of integrating sustainability into business processes and organizational culture. She is also responsible for ensuring that the agency meets its greenhouse gas reporting and verification obligations.  Prior to joining BC Housing, Magda worked as a sustainability consultant focusing on climate change issues. Her clients included: Vancity Credit Union, The Co-operators (insurance agency), and Climate Smart (BC based social enterprise). Her passion for building a better word is supported by years of diverse leadership and management experience gained in the financial services industry (CIBC and Citibank), and many long-term community building volunteer engagements.

Magda has been involved in the Natural Step network since completing her Master’s in Strategic Leadership toward Sustainability, at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden in 2006.

In addition to being a TNS Associate, Magda is also a member of Climate Smart network of trainers, and the GHG Management Experts Network.
