Liz Crocker
Liz Crocker is a businesswoman, writer, teacher and environmentalist. She is a highly regarded and successful entrepreneur (Woozles, P'Lovers) and volunteer with longtime leadership in environmental, educational, children/youth and cultural causes within Nova Scotia and nationally. Among her extensive volunteer activities, she has been on the Boards of the Sierra Legal Defence Fund, IWK, the Institute for Patient and Family-Centered Care, Voiceprint, Neptune Theatre, and Shakespeare by the Sea. Committed to issues of sustainable development Liz also served on the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy and was the Chair of its Education Committee. Liz holds a BA in History and Political Science from Dalhousie University and an MEd in Special Education from the Atlantic Institute of Education. She co-wrote a book called: Privileged Presence: Personal Stories of Connections in Health Care and recently edited "The Healing Circle: Integrating Science, Wisdom and compassion in Reclaiming Wholeness on the Cancer Journey".
