Laura MacKay

Laura J. MacKay is a graduate of the Masters program at Blekinge Institute in Sweden, based on The Natural Step Framework. Recognizing the key role of the mass media in promoting awareness ("A step") in the movement towards sustainability, Laura has co-launched a media production company called Treadlight Productions. Clients include the Centre for Individual Recovery and Reconciliation (Israel-Palestine), Shambhala Institute for Authentic Leadership (NS), Jane Goodall Institute (QC) and Building our Legacies Together First Nations Youth (BC).

Laura has also worked in Atlantic Canada with film, sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship, including roles with the Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network (ACORN), Genuine Progress Index (GPI), HelioTrust Farmland Conservation Centre, Turnstile Cooperative, Centre for Entrepreneurship, Education and Development (CEED) and Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF). She has a Bachelors degree from McGill University in Economics and Political Science. Laura is from Halifax and resides in Vancouver BC.
