Jeff Collins

Jeff Collins is a Project Manager in the Business Improvement group of Suncor Energy Inc. following several years in the Exploration & Production division where he was most recently General Accounting Manager. In this role, Jeff was responsible for reporting for Libya and Syria as well as interpreting and implementing accounting literature for the broader E&P group.

Jeff has extensive experience in financial management having been responsible for financial accounting and statutory reporting for more than 30 organizations in a wide variety of jurisdictions including Canada, USA, United Kingdom, and the majority of mainland European countries as well as having been involved in more than 15 acquisitions or divestitures in the past five years alone. Jeff is passionate about financial and governance structures and has been integral to the building of financial functions in organizations in the oil & gas, information management, sustainability, consulting, interior design and movie production industries.

Jeff holds a Canadian Chartered Accountant designation in addition to an MA (Philosophy), BA (Geography), and BComm (Honours).  He is active in volunteering with non-profit and charitable organizations that require financial advice and assistance, focusing especially on those with a sustainability or environmental agenda.
