To succeed we need to agree on where we’re going, work together in unprecedented ways and foster new leadership. We need leaders with the commitment, competence, and passion to accelerate the shift to a more just society, prosperous economy and greener world. We need more role models to show us that it is possible to do well by doing good.
The Natural Step Canada works with individual leaders and role model organizations to fundamentally redesign the way we live, work and play. We build leadership capacity, commitment, knowledge, tools and processes to facilitate the shift toward a sustainable world - where human beings thrive within the limits and capacity of nature to sustain and support us.

A donation to The Natural Step is an investment in leadership development for a better world, and the tools and knowledge to facilitate change.
As an enterprising national charity, we rely on a mix of fee for service revenue and grants and donations. Our fee for service work allows us to work with role model organizations. The grants and donations help us do all our work with youth, provide dozens of presentations and webinars to thousands of people across the country each year, and to develop courses, guidebooks, toolkits and case studies.

You can donate securely online through Canada Helps. You can also send a cheque (made payable to “The Natural Step Canada”), to our office at 203-4 Florence Street, Ottawa, ON, K2P 0W7. All donations above $20 are tax deductible.

Through the delivery of dozens of speeches and presentations and dissemination of thousands of toolkits, guidebooks, success stories and leading-edge reports we inspire Canadian decision-makers to step up to the sustainability challenge in their work and daily lives. We help them understand what that means, and how to get started.
EMPOWER EMERGING LEADERS
We empower youth, ages 18 to 25, by providing training, resources, and coaching to build their competence and confidence to enact positive change in their community. These are the individuals who will lead the transition to a sustainable Canada.
EDUCATE AND ENABLE SUSTAINABILITY LEADERS AND PRACTITIONERS
Through in-person workshops, webinars, online learning and coaching, The Natural Step Canada provides sustainability leaders and practitioners with knowledge, skills, and tools to strategically plan and implement sustainability initiatives in their communities and businesses.
CONNECT AND COLLABORATE
The Natural Step is building a movement for change by connecting sustainability leaders, practitioners and change agents to each other to share ideas, experiences, resources, challenges and successes and to create new solutions together.
Our newly launched Sustainability Transition Lab will bring together stakeholders in key sectors of Canadian society to agree on what sustainability looks like for the sector, identify barriers and road blocks, and co-create innovative solutions together.
